Parables
It is like that of a certain man who, about to go on a journey, summoned his own servants and gave them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to the third one, according to each his abilities and left. Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded them and gained second five. So also he who received two; he also gained a second two. And the one he received one went and dug up the earth and hid his master's money. After a long time, the master of those servants returned and began to settle accounts with them. Then came the one who had received the five talents. He brought the second five and said, Lord, you gave me five talents, behold, I have gained another five talents. The master said to him, "All right, servant good and faithful! You have been faithful over a few things, I will put you in charge of many things: enter into the joy of your master!" And he who had received two talents also came, saying, Lord, you have given me two talents, here are the other two I have gained talents.' The master said to him: 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful in few things, I will set you over many; enter into the joy of your master." And he who had received one talent came and said, "Lord, I knew you were a hard man: you would reap where you did not sow, and gather where you not spilled anywhere. So, being afraid, I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here's your property!" His master answered him, "You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I would reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not sow. where he did not spill. So you should have given my money to the bankers, and I would have been at a profit when I returned took his property. Therefore, take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents. For to everyone who has will be given more, so that he will have an abundance. And from those who do not have, even what they have will be taken away. And throw the useless servant outside into the darkness! There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
The master is God, the servants are people endowed with various abilities and talents. The two servants expanded their talents, they became spiritually and internally enriched, they learned something. The third did nothing use your positive qualities. The return of the master is a symbol of the unexpected coming of Christ and the Judgment of God.
The Lord said at the end of the word, "For to everyone who has, more will be given, so that he will have an abundance. And from those who do not have, even what they have will be taken away.” In this way God wants to teach people that not using, not developing one's abilities, virtues and talents is evil and will be punished like any other sin. Since God created man in his image, the essence of humanity is striving for excellence and continuous comprehensive development. Being fully human means enriching yourself and giving others your capabilities.
